Government having referred the report of the Salaries

Commission, 1929, to the Chamber of Commerce for

consideration, I am directed by the Chairman of the

Special Committee which has been appointed (the Hon.

Mr. W. E. L. Shenton), to forward, for your information,

copy of a letter which has been addressed to several of

big employers of labour in the Colony, together with

schedules based upon the report.
